Good to know:
Your breathable shoes are windproof and waterproof. However, the boots are only breathable if you wear the appropriate socks. While cotton socks store moisture, functional socks transport sweat and moisture away from the foot and into the shoe. The breathable boot membrane then takes over, transporting the moisture completely out of the boot. This ensures breathability.
